Computer Lab

The primary goal of our Computer Lab is ensuring our members and students acquire computer literacy and have adequate access to technology. Guatemala’s rural public education system is sorely behind in access to technology. Even our degreed teachers have not learned to manage basic computer software or hardware. The Coordinator of Technology teaches Computer Literacy to the students in our Learning Center – and to their teachers.

The second goal is to make sure that each of Grupo Cajolá’s projects has access to the appropriate technology to facilitate their success. This might mean dedicated desktops, copy machines, or printers. 

We are currently looking for three new desktop computers to be able to increase the number of participants in the computer classes from six to nine.
