David Jimenez Learning Center

David Jimenez Learning Center is starting off the year with 9 different classes and a new sign! The teachers will be paid for 45 minutes of their preparation time until we can secure the funding for the remaining 15 minutes they spend.

Reading Circle

After a pause since the beginning of the pandemic, we are starting up the Reading Circle again. The scholarship students studying education are the main volunteers, and they receive workshops on how to read to primary school children. This program was very successful earlier and we anticipate a good response again.

Achieving our Dreams

This is a new program launched this year to offer to primary school children an opportunity for weekend tutoring. This is targeted at children whose reading skills lag far behind the level needed. This weekend session is in addition to participating in the Learning Center though it is not obligatory to participate in both.
