“The Best Egg laying Hens in Cajolá”

is a completely women owned and operated egg farm.

Currently there are five women members of the group managing two chicken houses with a total of approximately 1600 hens.

Egg Farm

The idea of the egg business was born in 2006 as a way to earn income to fight the daunting poverty of their community.

 

The first 250 hens arrived in October of 2007. In 2022 the five women tend 1400 hens who lay about 1300 eggs daily.
